Humanihut signs global market opportunity during DSEI UK

A successful accommodation project on a remote island in the South Atlantic Ocean has culminated in a global business development opportunity for South Australian-based company, Humanihut.

On Thursday 11 September at a company dinner, Humanihut (UK) Ltd and Mitie Defence confirmed an ambition to expand their collaboration in delivering modular infrastructure solutions through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Mitie Defence is a leading provider of facilities management solutions across defence estates in the UK and abroad. Humanihut (UK) manufactures and supplies the Humanihut Field Infrastructure System, an accommodation solution which is rapidly deployable, flexible, and climate controlled.

Humanihut was engaged by Mitie earlier this year to deliver an accommodation solution on the UK Ministry of Defence’s Ascension Island estate, approximately 1,600 kilometres off the coast of Africa.

The project was a success with Humanihut supplying and deploying a 16-hut, four-bathroom camp to the remote location under a short turnaround.

Neale Sutton, Managing Director and Founder, Humanihut said the signing of an MoU was a significant step forward for future collaborations.

“I am pleased to continue strengthening Humanihut’s relationship with Mitie Defence and exploring opportunities for collaboration,” Mr Sutton said.

“This is a huge milestone for Humanihut’s international expansion demonstrating the capability of our modular infrastructure on the global market.

“Mitie is the leading provider of facilities management services across a large number of Defence estates nationally and overseas, where access to supporting infrastructure is critical for Mitie’s successful delivery of services.

“Humanihut is uniquely positioned to support Mitie’s operations and ventures into remote and challenging locations where built infrastructure is limited.”

Humanihut (UK) Ltd is a subsidiary of South Australian-based company Humanihut Group Pty Ltd.
